Remembering Adam Bryan

Adam Eugene Bryan of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on June 29, 2026, in Springfield. He was born January 24, 1976, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, to Eugene and Peggy Bryan. When Adam was just three years old, he, his parents, and his sister moved to Ava, Missouri, where they lived on a ranch that shaped much of his childhood and spirit. He loved ranch life and embraced it fully, riding his horse, fishing and swimming in the creek, exploring caves, and even teasing the bulls. There was always an adventure to be found, and Adam was never afraid to find it. By the age of seven, he could already drive the truck, and it wasn't long before he was baling hay alongside the adults. At age eleven, Adam accepted Christ as his Savior and loved singing hymns all throughout his life. Adam graduated from Hilcrest High School in Springfield and later earned his bachelor's degree in recreational therapy from Southwest Missouri State University in 1993. He worked in construction for much of his life, a field well-suited to his strong work ethic and hands-on skills. However, his true passion was woodworking. Adam was incredibly creative and talented, crafting everything from pens and bowls to large pieces of furniture. If he could imagine it, he could build it. Above all, Adam cherished time spent with his family. He especially loved being with his nieces, who brought him great joy and laughter. Adam is survived by his loving parents, Eugene and Peggy Bryan; his sister, Jeanne Bernick, and her husband, Scott; his nieces, Emma, Sarah, and Lucy; and many dear friends who will miss him greatly. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, creativity, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
